ZingProject Privacy Policy

Goosetail Labs, LLC (“Goosetail Labs”, “our”, or “we”) has provided this document (“policy”) so that you (“user(s)”) will be informed of and understand the privacy practices we employ. Please make sure you read and understand them before using any Goosetail Labs service.

Goosetail Labs reserves the right to make any changes to this policy at any time. If Goosetail Labs makes any changes to this policy, those changes will be made public via e-mail, or through a posting on the blog http://zingproject.com/blog. Continued use of the services constitute your consent to those changes. A user is responsible for ensuring that the e-mail address set in the profile for their account is valid and routable. Goosetail Labs is not responsible for failure to deliver e-mail notifications, whether the failure is caused by an incorrect e-mail address stored with a user’s account, a mail delivery server, or any other intermediate service or software responsible for transmitting and delivering said e-mail to a user. In the event Goosetail Labs sends an e-mail or posts a blog entry notifying users of changes to this policy, all users continuing to utilize our services implicitly agree to the new policy.


  1. Account refers to a single identity, identified by a username, or email address.
  2. Agent means any entity, human, programmatic or otherwise, which is capable of utilizing our services.
  3. API is the programmatic interface to zingproject.com, and is identified by all web resources accessible on a URL beginning with http(s)://zingproject.com/api.
  4. Collaborator/Collaboration is any user accessing any data owned by your account.
  5. Data means all information generated by, or provided by, an user while actively utilizing our services, including data stored in a user’s profile, networks, projects, tickets, and files in document management..
  6. Fee means the monetary costs associated with any activity engaged by an account.
  7. Network is the principal security object for which access is granted to collaborators to access data owned by you.
  8. Services are all functionality and interaction provided by zingproject.com, including all content/software downloaded from zingproject.com, either manually, programmatically, by a browser or any other mechanism, such as HTML, CSS, Javascript, and image files; and the API.
  9. Terms of Service refers to this document, in its entirety, regardless of medium used to distribute, and regardless of any partial representation thereof.
  10. User means any agent with a zingproject.com account or an agent which utilizes the portions of our services accessible anonymous, without an account, such as, but not limited to, the zingproject.com blog and signup page.


We collect the e-mail addresses of those who communicate with us via e-mail, aggregate information on what pages consumers access or visit, and information volunteered by the consumer (such as survey information and/or site registrations). The information we collect is used to improve the content of our Web pages and the quality of our service, and is not shared with or sold to other organizations for commercial purposes, except to provide products or services you’ve requested, when we have your permission, or under the following circumstances:

  1. It is necessary to share information in order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violations of Terms of Service of the specific application, or as otherwise required by law.
  2. We transfer information about you if Goosetail Labs is acquired by or merged with another company. In this event, Goosetail Labs will notify you before information about you is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
  3. Goosetail Labs does not permit users under 13 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under the age of 13.


When you register for any Goosetail Labs product we ask for information such as your name, company name, email address, billing address, credit card information. Members who sign up for the free services are not required to enter a credit card.

Goosetail Labs uses collected information for the following general purposes: products and services provision, billing, identification and authentication, services improvement, contact, and research. Goosetail Labs does not share your personal information with third parties, unless explicitly approved by you.

Goosetail Labs also collects non-personal, anonymous information about general site usage. This is done both through logging on our servers, as well as in the browser using Google Web Analytics. The intent of collecting this data is to understand how the site is used, and general usage patterns of our customers in order to improve the user experience while consuming our services. Data gathered via Google Web Analytics is subject to the privacy policy of that application, located at http://www.google.com/intl/en/privacypolicy.html.


A cookie is a small amount of data, which often includes an anonymous unique identifier, that is sent to your browser from a web site's computers and stored on your computer's hard drive.

Cookies are required to use the Goosetail Labs services.

We use cookies to record current session information, but do not require permanent cookies, except when a user enables the “Keep Me Logged In” feature.


Goosetail Labs uses third party vendors and hosting partners to provide the necessary hardware, software, networking, storage, and related technology required to run our services. Although Goosetail Labs owns the code, databases, and all rights to the Goosetail Labs applications, you retain all rights to your data.


Goosetail Labs is not responsible for any breach of privacy resulting from a user’s lack of good security practices, including but not limited to sharing username and/or passwords, use of public workstations to access services, virus infection, or any other circumstance which may compromise a user’s authentication credentials (username and/or password).


Goosetail Labs may disclose personally identifiable information under special circumstances, such as to comply with subpoenas or when your actions violate the Terms of Service.


Goosetail Labs may periodically update this policy. We will notify you about significant changes in the way we treat personal information by sending a notice to the email address specified in your Goosetail Labs profile or by placing a prominent notice on our site’s blog.
